GenderEd was created by Lizzie Maughan to provide a space for educators and families to get help and support in cultivating gender creative spaces that offer a nonbinary framework of gender to young children.
Living, working, and playing on Kaurna Land, Lizzie is a parent, researcher and consultant. They are committed to social justice and activism. They are currently completing their PhD at Flinders University. Lizzie volunteers with the schools team at ShineSA and is a member of the Australian Association of Researchers in Education (AARE) where they co-convene the Gender, Sexuality and Cultural Studies Special Interest Group.
